One more thing..

October 8, 2011

The world, the very place which we are currently living in, is captivated with the death of Steve Jobs.

Every news media I encounter; tv, radio, newspaper, not to mention the internet, facebook and twitter, are all mentioning Steve. Telling stories about the man, paying last tribute. People are sharing memories of having him, no matter how brief those moments were, even though most of us didn’t know him personally or even met him face to face.

That my friend, says a lot about the man himself. He is, one insanely great man.

Allow me not to bore you anymore with another parting words about Steve, because I believe, just like me, tears have been running dry in these sore eyes. No words are enough to stop this infinite sadness, only time will do..

There are two noteworthy last parting words I’d like to share, the first is from Dan Lyons (aka. the Fake Steve Jobs), his last line pretty much represent what we’re all trying to say:

“Because words mean nothing. Words fall short. Words scatter like dry leaves, stirred by the wind, swirling, rising upward, tangling with each other, like some incantation gone awry, unable to bring you back.”

The second, from John Gruber (Daring Fireball) is beautifully simple yet mesmerizing to bring us together and pray this for Steve:

“I like to think that in the run-up to his final keynote, Steve made time for a long, peaceful walk. Somewhere beautiful, where there are no footpaths and the grass grows thick. Hand-in-hand with his wife and family, the sun warm on their backs, smiles on their faces, love in their hearts, at peace with their fate.”

Namaste, John. Thank you for the beautiful words.

And one more thing..

I’d like to propose a peaceful weekend, in honor of Steve Jobs, the very man who brought awesomeness and joy to tech world. He was essentially the source of excitement whenever we, geeks all around the world, waited for him to show us the next insanely great thing.

But now he’s gone. Watching other news about new gadgets right now, is like something bad taste shoved down to my mouth. It’s fugly, and bitter. Even the shameless Samsung knew this is the bad time, and decided to postpone their announcement.

So here’s to you Steve, rest in peace..
