Dumber than dumb

November 6, 2011

Mike Elgan at Computerworld asked a crowd-tease-pleaser question on Google+ to his Android-loving friends : Why do people buy iPhones? The answers as always are controversial enough to burn the ears of iPhone users, no doubt it’s an entrapment but I’ll bite anyway just on this one:

The iPhone is a smart phone for dumb users. The iPhone is supposed to be easy to use, so novices are attracted to it for that reason.

Alright, I am dumb. But that means the iPhone is indeed smart. That means I can say: Android is a dumb phone, because it’s not easy to use. So who wants to use a dumb phone in the first place then? Definitely not the dumb who chose iPhone.
