Adobe gave up on mobile Flash

November 9, 2011

Did someone hit Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen’s head? Or did somebody punch Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch at the groin?

Someone must have did it, because Adobe has regained their senses back and not long ago they have officially announced that they’re stop developing Flash for mobile platforms. Jason Perlow from ZDNet got the exclusive first scoop, and bottom line is Adobe will focus more on HTML5 instead.

With this, Android will no longer able to say the little thing they were so proud of that separates their tablets from iPad; full Flash support in their mobile web browser. I wonder what that guy, who said “Go screw yourself Apple,” will say about this..
