Staying relevant

Alastair Sharp from Reuters is reporting Gartner analyst Phillip Redman’s comment about RIM’s announcement of BlackBerry Mobile Fusion:

“It will help stem the tide of those companies that may have considered eliminating their BES but it won’t help sell more phones, that’s what they really need to do.”

In another word; it is sad for RIM who once so dominant in enterprise market is now trying to stay relevant in fierce competition ahead. It’s not that they didn’t see this coming, it’s more because they were too stubborn to see the writings on the wall all along.
