PR firm Bell Pottinger’s bended ethical guidelines

December 13, 2011

Dave Lee from BBC News reporting the response from Bell Pottinger on the allegations of Wikipedia content manipulation:

Lord Bell, chairman of Chime Communications, the owner of Bell Pottinger, said an internal review had been launched.

“I can’t see any bad headlines for our clients,” he told the BBC. “You won’t find anybody, including journalists, who doesn’t do exactly the same thing.”

Bell Pottinger is one of Britain’s largest lobbying and public relations companies, for the owner to say something like that gives you a clear picture of how the whole industry is actually running behind the curtain.
