The irony of today’s ultrabooks

December 15, 2011

From Walt Mossberg’s quick review on the ultrabooks:

Ironically, the MacBook Air, which came out in 2008 and now starts at $999, uses the same Intel processors Ultrabooks do, and can, if its owner wishes, run Windows capably along with the Mac operating system.

Ironic indeed, who would want to buy the more expensive ultrabooks if you can get a better bargain (better price and build quality) with the MacBook Air. Intel and ultrabooks makers should come up with better bargains if they want to compete with Apple, and what they’re offering now is not good enough.
