Deeply flawed

January 3, 2012

Brian X. Chen reporting for The New York Times on the flop of HP’s TouchPad:

WebOS turned out to be something of a toxic asset. Several former Palm and H.P. employees involved in WebOS say that there was little hope for the software from the beginning, because the way it was built was so deeply flawed.

The one thing they really flawed at from the beginning was setting the bar too high with iPhone, they dreamed too high and failed to deliver. You’ve got to wonder at some point thinking of what went wrong with Palm, its condition was not as bad as Apple’s when Steve Jobs came back as CEO. It’s not like Palm couldn’t do it, it was because of wrong management and weak leadership.
