Uneven lightning in Kindle Paperwhite

October 13, 2012

Amazon admitted about the issue:

“Under certain lighting conditions, the illumination at the bottom of the screen from the built-in light is not perfectly even. See examples of how the screen looks in different lighting conditions. These variations are normal and are located primarily in the margin where text is not present.”

Although it’s a small issue, still it’s a small annoying thing users will have to cope with. It’s a shame, the Paperwhite is a great e-reader up to date, but to say this condition as normal is a big letdown.

A side note from the statement; it’s marked with the Kindle Team, not Amazon, and not from their CEO Jeff Bezos. If this is Apple, people would already have make a lot of fuzz about it.
