Amazon sends out tablet survey

October 28, 2012

Mike Wehner reported that Amazon launches survey of would-be tablet buyers soon after the iPad mini announced:

“A similar question is posed later in the survey, comparing the new iPad mini with the resolution of the 7-inch Fire HD, again without mentioning the Kindle by name. These questions are particularly interesting given that Amazon’s own website doesn’t actually list the pixel-per-inch measurement in the descriptions of its tablets, but rather the overall resolutions.”

It’s either a.) Amazon wants to promote the Fire HD, or b.) Amazon need to remind its customers of the Fire HD existence, or maybe c.) Amazon are not sure whether to make an iPad mini-like Fire tablet or just stick with what they have now and see how it pans out. Or maybe d.) Amazon wants to help Apple promote the new iPad mini, now this sounds more like it.
