Google’s iron grip

October 21, 2013

Ron Amadeo (Ars Technica) writes a quite thorough essay about Google’s hipocrisy on the so called “openness” of Android:

While Google will never go the entire way and completely close Android, the company seems to be doing everything it can to give itself leverage over the existing open source project. And the company’s main method here is to bring more and more apps under the closed source “Google” umbrella.

A fair warning for you who have never follow mobile tech industry; reading Ron’s essay will change the way you look at Google, and especially Android. As the saying goes: the truth will set you free, and torture you from the inside.
